Gingerbread House Construction … 🏗
In the Christmas spirit right after exam week, my friends and I decided to have a gingerbread building competition. It was so much fun and it was really relaxing right after exams. Hopefully it becomes one of our friend groups traditions.

Stressed
Why are you stressed? They ask. You shouldn't be. They say. So then you pretend. Pretend you're not. Not stressed. There's no reason to be. But why can't I? Is it a reserved emotion? Signed with: Upper Classmen ONLY. You're a freshman. It's easy. They say. Or... You're in all my classes It's so easy. Apparently it's so easy. But then ... why am I stressed? I have NO REASON to be.

I’m back with more poetry, yay! So this poem is actually based off of two prompts that I found. The first one is a how to prompt, it basically said to write a poem telling someone how to complete a mundane task that most people don’t even think about as they complete it. The second prompted me to limit myself to writing a poem with only twenty five words or less. This poem includes both of these prompts because it is 24 words long and it talks about how to write.
I struggled with the phrasing of how to explain writing. Most people would have a hard time explaining it because you learn how to write at such a young age and from there it is just muscle memory and what you have learned. You don’t normally have to put much thought or effort into the actual writing but rather what you are writing. There are so many little details when it comes to writing and I wasn’t sure how to phrase them all, so my poem is really just about the basic idea of writing, rather then how to actually write.
This poem was really relaxing to write and allowed me a break from my homework, so I hope you enjoy it. It may seem simple, but there is so much behind everyday tasks that you may not think about.

The Untouchable
You tell me that I’ve got this
But do I really?
I don’t believe
I do
I watch myself
sink further
Until out of reach
From me and you
You reach out
to grab me
I let myself
Sink further away
No belief
And all alone
People say I’ve got this
But I don’t believe
That I do
It’s always
A little further
Then I can reach
And you could care
So I sink further
Into my own self despair
I have decided to write daily poetry and the prompt I got for today was the untouchable. The description said, something that would always be a little bit out of reach. As I thought about this the first thing, I came to was belief in myself. At this moment right now, I think I lack a lot of belief in myself and look towards others for self reassurance way too often. So, I think I shall try to be more self cofident and sure of myself.

Happy (Late) Halloween!
Hey, peeps. How was your Halloween? What did you dress up as? Well no matter what you did, I hope you all had an amazing, fun and safe Halloween.
I absolutely love Halloween, it’s just so cool. I love dressing up and getting to be someone completely not you. I haven’t gone trick or treating in years, but getting candy is so much fun. Now a days, I go to Waikiki with my family, We dress up and make our own costumes every year. It’s so much fun to see the kids’ faces light up and to have people come up to ask you for a picture or just to say that they love or costumes.
This year we went as characters from the Wizard of Oz. We had tons of glitter and sparkles and our costumes were just so detailed.
I have photos, but there are stickers over our faces because yeah… there might be creeps, or worse… people who know me and found this blog site by accident.
We have a person as the scarecrow, but she was unfortunately taking the picture for us. After all the fun we had going out, we had to go to school the next day and that was just torture.
Speaking of school, the day before Halloween my Speech and Debate club celebrate Halloween, by eating a brain, it was made by our speech coach. It tasted suspiciously of sprite and jello. Definitely not a real brain, but detailed enough to be mistaken for one. Note to self: Good idea for decoy brain during zombie apocalypse. Here’s a photo I took.

Lazy
Seriously dudes, I am too lazy for my own good. I have listened to Seventeen’s comeback and new album so many times, but have been too lazy to write out an actual review so I don’t think I’m going to do it. Just know that I think it’s an amazing album and I love it.
