Omg so I’m awake at 11 pm at night and Seventeen just came back and released their new music video. I wanted to write what I thought about it right now, but my thoughts are a mess and not organized. And I can’t think, I just rewatched it like 3 times because I kept getting distracted. And OMG it is so good. I will post my official thoughts tomorrow when I can actually type properly and not stubble over my keys.

What’s so great about it?
Why does everyone want it?
Do I need it?
It is such an easy word

Why do we give it so much meaning and yet so little?
We say “I love it!”
Do we really?
What is love?
How do you love?
How do we use love?
So easy to say.

So much meaning and yet so little.
Do I need love?
Do you need love?
Maybe not.
But do you crave it and want it?
Simple, yes.
That’s why I hate it and the word.
It’s too easy to use or misuse.
Too easy to say.
And love itself is such a touchy subject.
Can you say it?
“I love it” or “I love you”
It should be heavy
When you say it
It should hold meaning
But does it?

Omg, I’m so freaking excited. Seventeen’s comeback is so freaking close it is literally hours away. I wasn’t going to write until the music video came out but I am so hyped. Their teasers and highlight medley were enough to get this crazy fangirl, jumping up and down. LOL, this is my teaser for my next post, their comeback. Which will hopefully be posted by the 16th when they comeback of the 17th. Ahhhh! I’m so excited.

Did I find a new group to love, from my youtube recommendations? Heck Yeah! So I was scrolling through my recommended videos on my youtube and stumbled onto this amazing group. Their songs are so good and I absolutely love their music! I can’t believe that I have never listened to them before. If you don’t know who they are, CLC is a seven member girl group, under cube entertainment that debuted in 2015. Can you believe it, they have been a group since 2015 and people have yet to fully appreciate them! Anyway back to the main topic, their most recent comeback, Devil.
Okay, so let’s talk about those vocals. Their singing is so smooth but powerful and I just love the sound. I don’t know the technical term for it but when Elkie sings “I tried to be so polite.” It sounded so good, I picked up that a lot of them use this technique or put emphasis on certain parts this same way and it just sounds amazing. OMG, and the rap, that was so well articulated. I just don’t know all the technical terms and can’t express what I’m thinking, it’s just slightly frustrating.
I really like the instrumentals in the background. I’m not an amazing musician so I can’t tell what instrument is exactly in the background, but the mix sounds good. I think that the beat matches with the song very nicely. I liked the strumming in the background in the beginning and throughout the song. I think that starting off with the strumming seperated in the beginning was a smart move and then when the other sounds jump in it mixes well. I really liked the drop at 1:50 in the song, I think it had a good, pregnant pause affect. I also like the clapping or snares, or maybe it’s a tambourine in the background, it might be all of them. I’m not quite sure. Now, onto the music video….
I love their denim looks in this video. Okay, so maybe I don’t like a lot of denim personally but they pull it off well, since they’re, well you know Kpop idols. I love how the music video switches between colorful, denim, and the dark look. My favorite looks in this music video is probably Elkie, her hair is so pretty and honestly she’s really pretty. They are all super pretty, but Elkie honestly caught my eye first. Their acting in this music video was also very interesting. The short pops of surprise from the victim when something bad happen and the one who caused it giving a small shrug of discare. It really added to the music video. I also liked when they did the dark background and only one person was in the spotlight as they sung.
They haven’t released a dance practice video yet, at least that I know of, but from the video the choreography looks pretty interesting. I haven’t seen much of their dancing style yet but the choreography seems to follow the basic girl group choreography. With the hand snapping and switching between hands, I’m not sure how to describe it but you understand what I am saying. There are certain parts where it does look a bit intense but the girls pull it off very well.

I can’t believe it, I’m late again. So I didn’t even know that Red Velvet had a comeback until one of my friends asked me if I had listened to it. I said no and she had me listen to it right then and there. Keep in mind, it was the middle of our break and the bell was about to ring for it to end. Anyhow, let’s begin. Fun fact: As I am typing this, I am listening to it for the second time.
I personally like this comeback so much more the Zimzalabim. I liked it as soon as I listened to it, while Zimzalabim took me a few listens to like it. I think that Umpah Umpah gives a nice summer vibe and made me think of High School musical. Have you watched it? Anyway I think that this song was very good and that Red Velvet needs all the love and suppport we can give them.

I’m so late, it irks me. This is my ultimate group and I am late posting me raving about their newest song release. You should know how it goes, I rave about how much I love it and then tell you to go support them. However since this is my ultimate group, I’m going to put in a little more than my opinion.
This comeback came at us so hard, but I absolutely love this song. They did so well on it and it is simply amazing. I am so happy that they made a comeback, I was waiting for a comeback since their last one. It’s really upbeat and it is so catchy. I could listen to it on repeat, but that wouldn’t get it views. The teasers got me really hyped for the song so when it came out and I didn’t get the notification right away, I was suprised and late.
I think that this song showcases a lot of members vocals that we don’t normally hear a lot of. This also meant that DK, Seungkwan and Woozi took a big step back from the song. I have to admit, I was kind of sad that Woozi didn’t have more parts. However, you do hear him a lot in the background. Jeonghan, Joshua, Mingyu and Jun had a lot of lines in this comeback. Using the line distribution video that I am looking at they had the most parts. Even though it seems that a lot of people didn’t contribute vocally, they did dance making it more even.
The8 had the least amount of lines. This is also kind of sad because his vocals are amazing. However going back to the balancing out, he has a dance break for himself. Similar to The8 the members who didn’t have a lot of vocal parts, danced in the front during the music video or had parts focused on dancing. I think that everyone had somewhat balanced parts and screen time during the music video. No matter what I still love the song and Seventeen.
Please love and support Seventeen by streaming the music video. And that’s all I have for now, I have to go memorize the fan chant.

Why do I feel so guilty?
Looking at happy memories,
Associated with you.
I know the feeling is not normal.
I know that you didn’t mean it.
I know that you are oblivious to how I feel.
I hid and avoided
Ducking in and out of buildings
Just to not run into you
But when they told be how
You had flushed red
When teased
I felt guilt and sorrow
Why had my feelings been more important
Why did I leave you,
In their line of fire
I’m sorry I did nothing
As you took all their jokes
Maybe it didn’t bother you
Maybe it’s all in my head
But I will never know

Well there’s that, hopefully it was good. I had those feelings stored in me for a while so now it’s all out and it feels great. I encourage you to write a poem or a letter about lost feelings or hidden loves. It might make you feel a little better when you let it out.
